The way my fiancé proposed to me couldn’t have been more appropriate.
I love carnivals and amusement parks, so the summer after we had been together for 2 years, he took me to the amusement park that I practically grew up at. After a very fun–and unsuspecting–afternoon, he took me to the carousel. I always sit on the outer ring of horses, so I can grab for the brass ring (to go on the carousel again, for free), and he always sits next to me, which means he’s on an „up and down” horse.
This time, he sat in front of me, and when I asked why, he said, „To try and get more rings than you!” Well, it was hilarious watching this rookie grab for rings, dropping some, almost falling off, and whatnot. At the end of the ride, he asked me how many rings I had. I told him, and asked him the same.
He said, „Well, not as many as you, but let me show you which one I did get.” He walked up to me, opened his hand, and there was an engagement ring.
He proposed to me in front of everyone there, and then the carousel operator let us have a ride all to ourselves!
